DOLA — The Hardin Northern Board of Education will meet in special session on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. at the school. The board will review plans for phase II of the sports fields and take action on the contract of Treasurer Wes Potter.

ADA — Once the weather breaks, the Village of Ada will be looking to provide some relief to a standing water problem at 118 Grandview Blvd. Council was confronted about the issue at its regular meeting on Tuesday.

Members of Kenton City Council’s Finance Committee received a 75-minute educational course on the city’s budget on Tuesday night. Chief Deputy Auditor Kerri McLaughlin and Assistant Deputy Auditor Doris Lowe presented a comparison of revenue and expenses from 2017 to 2018 for committee members.

The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance will host its 13th Annual Awards Presentation and Membership Dinner Meeting on Thursday, Feb. 28 at McIntosh Center on the campus of Ohio Northern University, Ada. A reception will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the awards program at 6:30 p.m.
