As Fran DeWine visited Hardin County on her statewide tour Monday morning, she said she was impressed with the veterans’ banners on the streets and beauty of the courthouse.

The Hardin County Board of Elections will hold its regular meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9 in its office in the courthouse. This is a change from the regular time of 9 a.m.

The unofficial 2018 Hardin County Primary Election results are in!

The widest margin of victory in Tuesday’s election results came in the Republican race for Hardin County commissioner. The seat came open when incumbent Brice Beaman announced last year he would not seek a third term.

BELLEFONTAINE — The voters in the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center district narrowly passed a .6-mill permanent improvement levy Tuesday. The unofficial results show the issue passing 11,251 to 10,518.

PATTERSON — The smallest incorporated village in the county passed its property tax levy in Tuesday’s primary by a 13-7 vote. The money will be used for general expenses, said Mayor Jason Kearns, who thanked the voters for supporting the issue.

Less than 23 percent of Hardin County registered voters cast ballots in Tuesday’s Primary Election. According to figures from the Board of Elections, 4,156 people (22.77 percent) cast ballots out of a total of 18,253.

Hardin County voters will go to the polls for the Primary Election on Tuesday. Voting hours are 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
