There were some closely contested races in Hardin County on Tuesday at the polls with the results shuffling council, school board and township trustee seats in unofficial results. There will be new council members in Forest and Alger but incumbents returned to their seats in Ada and McGuffey. Races were uncontested in Dunkirk, Mount Victory and Ridgeway.

MOUNT VICTORY — Four candidates are vying for two openings on the Ridgemont Board of Education in Tuesday’s election. Chris James, Corey Ledley, Paige Wallace and Robert White submitted the following responses to a Times election questionnaire.

Kenton voters will find no contested races on the ballot in Tuesday’s municipal and school board elections. However, there will be four issues to consider. Candidates for Kenton city offices face no opposition and, in two cases, have no one running for positions.

FOREST — Eight candidates are competing for four seats on the Forest Village Council in Tuesday’s election. David Book, David Hankins, Dean Hankins, Crystal Manfre, Valerie Mullholand and PJ Noascono completed a Times election questionnaire and their responses follow. Also on the ballot are Denis Phillips and Bill Sheets.

Hardin County Commissioner Brice Beaman announced Wednesday he will not be seeking re-election to a third term. “I really have wrestled with this,” said Beaman. “I love my work and I love my job.”

ADA — A political newcomer is challenging four current officeholders in Tuesday’s election for four seats on the Ada Village Council. Mary Drzycimski-Finn is making her first bid for elected office. Vying to return to council are Donald Fleming, Terry Keiser, Jeff Oestreich and Robert Simmons.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Four people are uncontested in seeking Riverdale school board seats in Tuesday’s election. Incumbents Derek Dailey, Laura Leopold and John Livingston have no opposition in their bids to be re-elected to terms that expire on Dec. 31, 2021. That’s because write-in candidate Tony Butler withdrew from the race in October.

Three candidates are vying for two openings on the Hardin Northern Board of Education in Tuesday’s election. Ken Hopson, Andrea Richardson and Sara Stewart are competing for the seats.
