Bands, choirs featured in Ada Spring Concert

ADA — The Ada 5th and 6th grade, and junior high bands, as well as the 6th grade and junior high choirs will present their Spring Concert on Monday, May 6 at 7 p.m. in the Ada School Auditorium. The Ada 5th grade band is under the direction of elementary music teacher Tabitha McPeeks. The band will play multiple selections it has been working on during the spring semester.

Live life to the fullest: National Day of Prayer

National Day of Prayer is celebrated on May 2nd. If you haven’t ever heard of it, it’s actually been around since 1952. In that year, it was signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. It was amended in 1988 and signed into law by President Ronald Reagan designating the first Thursday of May as a day of national prayer. To keep the tradition going, every president since 1952 has signed a National Day of Prayer proclamation.
