Kenton-Hardin County Soroptimist International congratulates Club 250 winner Pam Newland for week 7. She will receive $100. Club 250 is a fundraiser that helps to award scholarships to local women and girls.

ADA – Michael Benitez will be the keynote speaker for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at 7 p.m. on Jan. 22 in the English Chapel at Ohio Northern University. The event is free and open to the public. The theme of this year’s talk is “The time is always now: Upholding legacies of diversity leadership in 21st century America.”

You've probably heard this before but for those that haven't let me set the tone. A young boy was listening to his grandfather. The grandfather tells him everyone has two wolves living inside them. They are fighting constantly on which will win.

As I contemplated on what areas to fill you in on this week, I thought, "Well, there's not much I enjoy more than writing about family life. In spite of the constant demands of motherhood, there really are more blessings than I could ever tell.

After the Women of the Moose had their annual purse Bingo event in November, they agreed to split the profits between four organizations. Each was given a check for $843 on Thursday evening at the lodge.
