The Kenton Lions Club met Wednesday, Nov. 7 at Henry’s Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. There were 17 members and guest Amanda Raines from 4-H Development Educator in attendance. Lion President Todd Oates led in the Pledge and the prayer. The meeting was called to order after the meal at 7 p.m.

The Ada Kiwanis Club will hold its annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Ada High School cafeteria. Serving hours will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The club will be serving all-you-can spaghetti, salad, bread sticks and drinks.

MONDAY, NOV. 12 AA Fellowship – 7:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 234 N. Main St., Kenton. Minerva Club – 7:30 p.m. at the home of Molly Wagner. Program by Judi Candler on the author Patrick Taylor.

DUNKIRK — Chick Flick movie night will be held at the Hardin Northern Public Library on Wednesday, Nov. 14 starting at 7 p.m. The movie "The Greatest Showman" starring Hugh Jackman will be featured. The film is rated PG.

My wife and I sleep in a bedroom that was added on to our house long after it was built. The air flow and insulation in that particular bedroom are a bit lacking. Consequently, during the summer months, that room becomes unbelievably hot, and during the winter months, unbelievably cold.

Mistletoe Masquerade is the theme for this year’s Hardin Memorial Hospital Foundation’s largest fundraiser, the Mistletoe Ball. While this is not a costume party, the more guests that participate with a mask, the more fun it will be for all.

Ava Graham, a sophomore student at Benjamin Logan High School, enjoys writing in Spanish about the fictional characters Linus and Liv. She has written many stories about them in her spare time, and was recently published on the website www.revistaliteral.com.

The Nite Owls Homemakers Club will meet at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12 at the First Baptist Church. Hostesses will be Marla Hemmerly and Bev Zimmerman.
