The seniors at the Hardin County Council on Aging Senior Center had an indoor camping party. They had a carry in and ate s’mores.

Residents of Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center enjoyed the last meal outing of the season. The activity staff took residents for a trip to the Dir Dutchman in Plain City and they enjoyed the ride, the food, the scenery and the shopping.

Monday – chicken salad, crackers, tapioca pudding, drink. Tuesday – sloppy joes, green beans, peaches, drink.

The annual Hardin Northern FFA Chicken BBQ fundraiser took place on October 12, homecoming night! This year the BBQ was ran by the senior Ag Business class, they were in charge of cooking the chicken and pork chops as well as the event pre-planning.

The FFA chapter started off a competitive CDE season with an eager rural soils team ready to compete. The team first took a stab at judging, and placed fifth overall at the invite on Sept. 19th that the HN chapter host.

Kenton-Hardin County Soroptimist International congratulates Club 250 winner Bev Rice Anderson for week 47. She will receive $100. Club 250 is a fundraiser that helps to award scholarships to local women and girls.

ADA — Ohio Northern University faculty member Amy Fanous received the 2018 Civic Leader Award during the recent Next-Generation Pharmacists ceremony in Boston, Mass. Fanous, who earned her PharmD from ONU in 2012, is director of the Ohio Northern University HealthWise Mobile Clinic.

ADA — Ada Schools has announced its honor roll for the first nine weeks of the 2018-2019 school year.

DOLA — Hardin Northern Elementary School has announced its first quarter honor roll for the new school year.
