FINDLAY — Calynn Morris of Kenton was among 48 other students at the University of Findlay who received a white lab coat at the College of Pharmacy’s White Coat Ceremony. The ceremony signifies the students’ entrance into the third year of the six-year program, which is the first year of professional courses in the College of Pharmacy.

HHWP CAC to offer help with heating

The Hancock Hardin Wyandot Putnam Community Action Commission’s HEAP 2019 Winter Crisis Program (WCP) will begin on Nov. 1, 2018 and continue through March 31, 2019 – as long as funds remain available. This program was created to provide financial assistance, one time per heating season, to income eligible households who are threatened with disconnection of their heating source, have service already disconnected, need to establish new service, seek to transfer service, or have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel.

BPW to meet

Hardin County Business and Professional Women’s Club will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at Basil Italian Restaurant in Kenton. The speaker will be Deanna Wages from Helping Hands.
