The Kenton Garden Club met Tuesday afternoon Oct. 16 at the home of Janet Stephens. Donna Cavalier was in charge of the meeting with all members repeating the Gardener’s Prayer.

Not By Choice held its quarterly meeting on Thursday, Oct. 18. Nine members were present. An opening prayer was given by chaplain Patti Risner.

ADA — The winners in Monday night’s Ada's Halloween parade were announced today. The annual parade is sponsored by the Ada Kiwanis Club.

Helping Hands Outreach Ministry and the City of Kenton are sponsoring Seed Time and Harvest Fall Feast from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 at Wharton Park in Kenton. The event will feature Shine FM providing music, a free taco bar with soft or hard shell, burritos, rice beans, brownies, cookies or cupcakes and punch or lemonade from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Seton Kenton, the apartment complex on Morningside Drive behind Peebles in Kenton, will be hosting trick-or-treat on Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Residents will be in the community room handing out candy to children.

FOREST — “Cut the Craft” at the Forest-Jackson Public Library will be held at 1 and 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29. Adults and teens are invited to make a wood slice pumpkin. A $2 fee is required to pay for materials.

Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society Intl. met on Oct. 13 at Upper Sandusky’s We Luv Yogurt at 11 a.m. Kappa Co-Presidents Dorothy Blackburn and Norma Frederick welcomed 15 members and guests Kara Schoen and Deborah Rellinger.
