Gospel singing will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 at Well of Grace Fellowship, 525 N. Ida St., Kenton. The featured group will be Testify from Oakwood. Church overseers are Ronnie Dean and Diana Scott.

The Gibbons Family will be performing at Kenton Full Gospel Church, 129 N. Wayne St., at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19.

On Aug. 7 at 5 p.m., the William Britton VFW Post 6817 and Auxiliary met in regular sessions for the purpose of the work for our veterans. The VFW Post 6817 is very active in program work for not only the local area also for the Department of Ohio and the National VFW Post 6817 has again reached the ranks of the few VFW Posts in the State of Ohio to be an "ALL STATE POST".

The Hardin County PERI Chapter 34 met on Aug. 3 at the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office meeting room with 30 present. President Gerald Potter called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

National Roller Coaster Day is celebrated on August 16. I have tried to love riding roller coasters, but my stomach rules over my mind and my stomach says that I don’t like roller coasters.

AMVETS Post 1994, 417 W. Espy St., Kenton is holding a fish fry on Friday, Aug. 17. The all you can eat fish dinner also includes baked beans, potato salad and roll for an $8 donation.
