The Memorial Park Bridge Club met on Wednesday, Aug. 1 at the Pro Shop Annex. The hostess was Mary Hamilton and there were four tables in play.

BELLEFONTAINE — Three Benjamin Logan High School students are recipients AP Scholar Awards. Ray McCormick, Mei Carmer and Bryson Tipton received the academic distinctions from the spring 2018 test administration.

DOLA — Hardin Northern is announcing that schedules for students in grades 7-12 will be available in the high school office beginning next week. Schedules will be available on Wednesday, Aug. 8; Thursday, Aug. 9; Friday, Aug. 10; Monday, Aug. 13; and Tuesday, Aug. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. each day.

Marina Fox of Belle Center, a member of the Boots and Buckles 4-H club, placed 9th in showmanship in the 9-11-year-old division at the Ohio State Fair with her horse, Sidney.

August is Breastfeeding Awareness Month in Ohio and Aug. 1-7 is World Breastfeeding Week (WBW). Research suggests that breastfeeding is a key modifiable factor for disease for both mothers and infants.
