The Hardin Northern Garden Club enjoyed a lovely spring luncheon at the Elks for the June 1 meeting. President Candy is contacting a few people for tours of gardens and will contact members on the location before the next meeting on July 6.

The Tailwaggers met on May 17. They discussed progress on projects and went over assignments from the previous meeting.

The Elks Card Club met on May 17 and enjoyed a potato bar, salad and pie with spring flowers for decorations. Hostess for Bridge was Pat Brehm and hostesses for Shoot the Moon were Rosemary Latimer and Wanda Clinger.

Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International will have a planning meeting on Saturday, June 9 at 10 a.m. at Upper Sandusky’s Dough-SI-Dough, 119 W. Johnson St. RSVP to Dorothy Blackburn, Ann Frisch or Janine McMillan.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley has announced the academic recognition of students for the fourth quarter of the 2017-2018 school year.

Each year, the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center works hand in hand with community business partners to provide services for high school students with significant disabilities in Hardin County. The Work Transition Program, supervised by job specialist Beth Burgbacher, partners with community businesses to become job training sites where these high school students learn basic job skills necessary to become employed after graduation.

DUNKIRK — Free tech help will be available at the Hardin Northern Public Library on Thursday from 1 to 8 p.m. Chloe Noel will assist individuals with various tech topics, internet questions/issues, how to use a variety of devices and much more.

DUNKIRK — The book discussion group at the Hardin Northern Public Library will meet Thursday starting at 7 p.m. The group will discuss "The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes" by Diane Chamberlain.
