DUNKIRK — Because of the repairs being made at the Hardin Northern Community Center, there will be no monthly supper for the month of May. All activities at the center will resume as soon as possible.

Hardin and Wyandot Counties comprise Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International, a Women’s Educational Society. Kappa members met on Saturday, May 12, at 10 a.m. at the Wyandot Memorial Hospital. Co-Presidents Virginia Shellhouse and Kathy Lundy welcomed 20 members to the meeting. DOLA — The Hardin Northern community gathered on May 15 in the varsity gym to recognize students for their academic achievements. High School Principal Andrew Cano welcomed all in attendance and thanked them for supporting the students in their most important endeavor, academics.

Kenton High School seniors received nearly $172,000 in scholarships during their annual Awards Day on Tuesday. The $171,950 total was nearly $40,000 higher than a year ago, according to Counselor Amy Kohl.

Jeremy Liles will be performing at Well of Grace Fellowship, 525 N. Ida St., Kenton at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 19. Liles is an energetic performer who loves the Lord with all his heart, soul, mind and strength.

McGUFFEY — The McGuffey Free Will Baptist Church will be hosting two singing performances at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 19. Singing at the event will be “The Sisters,” a duo made up of Sandi McKinley and Kaylene Ward, along with Linda O’Brien.

Payne Chapel AME Church will be hosting its spring revival “In Times Like These” at 6:45 p.m. on May 23, 24 and 25. Speakers for the evenings will be:

President-Elect Joe Ferguson presided over the weekly meeting of the Ada Kiwanis Club on Tuesday, May 15 in McIntosh Center at Ohio Northern University. There were 13 club members present for the meeting. The invocation was offered by Jon Umphress.
