Dementia Friends program set in Kenton

Dementia Friends gives people an understanding of dementia and the small things you can do that make a difference. A free program will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 at the Mary Lou Johnson-Hardin County District Library, 325 E. Columbus St., Kenton. The building is wheelchair accessible.

Western Day

Western Day

Starting out National Nursing Home week was Western Day. Residents at Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center enjoyed the theme, Residents and staff had ice cream sundaes, wore cowboy hats and listened to the singing duet Loco Cowboy.

Fish fry set at AMVETS post

AMVETS Post 1994, 417 W. Espy St., Kenton is holding a fish fry on Friday, May 18. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. The all-you-can-eat fish dinner includes fish, baked beans, potato salad and roll for an $8 donation.

Democrats plan family picnic

Hardin County Democrats met Wednesday evening, May 9 at Henry’s Restaurant in Kenton. Members met at 6 p.m. for dinner with the Central and Executive Committee business meeting beginning at 7 p.m. Michael Hubbell, chair, reported on the Ohio Democratic Party Legacy Dinner at the Hyatt in Columbus on April 13.
