David and Kristina Michael are the parents of a 6-pound, 3-ounce, 19-inch boy, Aiden Wesley, born at 10:53 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in Florence, Ky. Grandparents are Jacob and Jaynie Michael, Elmer and Kim Wheatley, and the late Nila Pleasant Michael. Great-grandmother is Edna Pleasant of Kenton.

Co-President Kathy Lundy welcomed 18 members of Kappa Chapter of DKG to the luncheon meeting at 10 a.m. on March 10 at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church. She introduced member and speaker Charlotte Leeth.

The “Super Powers for a Super You! Challenge” is an on-line challenge designed to help participants improve their health by encouraging regular exercise, nutrition, and wellness during the upcoming spring. Participants will explore “villains” that may interfere with their wellness goals.

DUNKIRK — Free tech help from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hardin Northern Public Library in Dunkirk. Chloe Noel will assist individuals with internet, technology, devices, social media navigating as well as other issues and/or questions.

The Hardin County Area Chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation will present a story of autism recovery during its meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 22 at the Forbing Community Center, 122 N. Main St., Kenton.

Mt. Victory Cubscout Pack 131 held a Pinewood Derby at the Ridgemont School on March 11 under the direction of Scoutmaster Mark Ruppright. The top three in each den qualify for the District Derby on April 7 at the University of Northwestern Ohio.

The Nite Owls Homemaker Club met on March 13 at the First Baptist Church. Nine members answered roll call by naming their favorite spring flower and answering the question “Are you looking forward to spring?”

Kenton-Hardin County Soroptimist International congratulates Club 250 winner Amy Aulthouse for week 16. She will receive $100. Club 250 is a fundraiser to help gather funds to award to local women and girls so they can make a more independent life.
