The Hardin County Genealogical Society will have its monthly member meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12 at 211 W. Franklin St., Kenton. It will be preceded at 6:30 p.m. by a Heritage Potluck Dinner, with beverages and tableware provided.

Fourteen Ohio Hi-Point-Kenton Allied Health and Nursing students participated in the competition at the University of Toledo.

The seniors at the Hardin County Council on Aging Senior Center honored Heart Awareness Month by wearing red. They learned how to have a healthy heart and what foods are healthy.

A meal is served at 11:15 a.m. weekdays for people ages 60 and older at the Hardin County Council on Aging in Kenton. Transportation and meal reservations are required 24 hours in advance by calling the Council on Aging, 419-673-1102.

The Hardin Memorial Hospital Guild will hold a bake sale prior to its regular scheduled meeting on Friday, Feb. 9 beginning at 8 a.m. in the McCullough Conference Room. The regular meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m.

Hardin County Soroptimists are planning a quilting bee on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative on West Lima Street (Ohio 309) at Kenton’s west edge. All members and the public are invited to participate.

Painter Creek Community Grange met Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 at the grange hall. Community service chair Joan White asked members to bring Easter basket items the next two meetings for Helping Hands.

DUNKIRK — People can get free help with technology issues at the Hardin Northern Public Library on Thursday from 1 to 8 p.m. Chloe Noel will assist will internet issues, understanding various devices, navigating social sites, Microsoft Office, and more.
