LIMA — Rhodes State College has announced the names of area students on its 2017 Fall Semester Dean’s List for full-time students. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours and earn a 3.5 grade point average or higher.

More than 30 county health departments in Ohio will be launching a joint public health campaign this month for National Radon Action Month. The goal of the campaign is to urge Ohioans to test for radon in their homes with a free test kit.

Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center resident Larry Cole rings in the new year at the Noon Year Party, Residents had a pizza party and when the clock struck noon, they all toasted with sparkling grape juice.

The apprentices of Lima Electrical Professionals have donated $3,012 and approximately 200 pounds of food to the Veterans Food Pantry of Northwest Ohio. They collected food and monetary contributions in December and also conducted a 50/50 drawing to raise the funds.

A meal is served at 11:15 a.m. weekdays for people ages 60 and older at the Hardin County Council on Aging in Kenton. Transportation and meal reservations are required 24 hours in advance by calling the Council on Aging, 419-673-1102.
