Wells Purcell family reunites

The 64th Annual Thomas and Bessie Wells Purcell Reunion was held on Saturday, July 16 at the Forbing Community Centre in downtown Kenton. The Reunion Committee furnished the meat and table service and everyone brought covered dishes to share. Many family favorite recipes were used for this luncheon.

KHS band boosters hold July meeting

The Kenton Band Boosters met on Tuesday, July 11 at 7 p.m. in the Kenton High School library. Attendees were Judy Donnal, president, Katrina Collins, secretary, Duane Hamilton, treasurer, Travis Wissman, band director and parents, Kristin Hamilton, Joyce Roof, Amy Kohl and Becky Thomas.

Hospital guild to host purse sale Thursday

Hardin Memorial Hospital Guild will be sponsoring a Pursenably Yours Too purse sale on Thursday, July 21 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Hardin Memorial Hospital McCullough Conference Room. Items for sale include fashionable purses, wallets, sunglasses, lotions, soaps and much more.

HN program postponed

DUNKIRK — Because of a scheduling conflict, the “Historic Presidential Elections” program by Mr. Jim Taylor slated for July 20 at the Hardin Northern Public Library, has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later time.
