COLUMBUS — Hidden falls risks may be underfoot for someone you love. STEADY U Ohio, the state’s falls prevention initiative, encourages you to celebrate this season of love and devotion by helping the people you care about most to prevent falls and fall-related injuries.

A noon meal is served for people ages 60 and older at the Hardin County Council on Aging in Kenton, 419-673-1102, at 11:30 a.m. weekdays. Transportation and meal reservations are required 24 hours in advance.

Two groups of boys from Ada Troop 124, Boy Scouts participated in the Klondike Derby this year at Camp Lakota in Defiance. The Klondike Derby is a timed race that troops competes in each year to test their scouting abilities.

The Hardin County Hootenannies first 4-H meeting for this year will be Sunday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. at Faith Holbrook’s farm. She may be having baby goats at this time.

Lawrence Valley Grange met Feb. 9 at the Longhorn Bar and Grill in Roundhead for lunch. A short business meeting was held.

DUNKIRK — Bingo will be played Thursday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Hardin Northern Community Center on North Main Street, Dunkirk. There is no charge to play but donations are accepted and appreciated.

The Hardin County Community S.O.U.P. services will provide free hot meals to the public from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 22-26 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 211 E. Carrol St., Kenton. Bread, toiletries and clothing will be available at St. Anthony Center, 220 E. North St. (beside St. John’s) during the same hours.
