ADA BARNYARD FARMERS Ada Barnyard Farmers began its third meeting on May 15 at 3:08 p.m. in the Sugar Grove Church.

The Kenton FFA sponsored its annual student tractor drive-in on Thursday, May 12. This is an event where all students in Kenton High School can wake up bright and early to drive their tractors to school in the morning in appreciation of their local FFA chapter.

Kaitlyn Long of the Ada FFA Chapter recently received her State FFA Degree at the 88th Ohio FFA Convention. During the two-day convention held at the Ohio Expo Center, over 8,000 members, advisors, parents and guests were in attendance.

Seven Riverdale FFA members recently attended State FFA Convention. On the way down to Columbus they toured Keynes Brothers Elevator, where they collect only food grade wheat.

Brian Shaffer opened the Hardin County Humane Society’s May 9 meeting with nine trustees present. In upcoming events, May 21 is Pet Food Pantry, 8-10 a.m., with Family Bingo following at 11 a.m.

The Mother/Daughter Banquet of Rhinehart Church was held May 12. Melinda McConnell gave grace before the meal. A pot luck dinner was provided. Janie Seiler, president, welcomed approximately 30-35 members and guests.

There will be a Victory Jamboree program from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 24 in the Coach and Surrey Room at the Plaza Inn Restaurant, 491 S. Main St., Mount Victory. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.

MEADVILLE, Pa. — Matt Gray, son of Jeff and Beth Gray of Ada, graduated from Allegheny College on May 14. A graduate of Ada High School, Gray received a Bachelor of Science degree from Allegheny with a major in Chemistry and a minor in History.

The Elks Ladies Card Club met on April 21. Hostess for Bridge was Pat Brehm and the hostesses for Shoot the Moon were Pauline Ramsey and Judy Salee.
