A noon meal is served for people ages 60 and older at the Hardin County Council on Aging in Kenton, 419-673-1102, at 11:30 a.m. weekdays. Transportation and meal reservations are required 24 hours in advance.

President Jeff Schulman called the weekly meeting of the Ada Kiwanis club to order at noon on Tuesday, May 3 in the Dean‘s Heritage Room, McIntosh Center, Ohio Northern University, Ada. There were no guests present.

Hardin County Soroptimist Intl. gathered at Henry's Restaurant on May 5 at 6:30 p.m. President Ruth Waggoner welcomed 22 members and 2 guests.

Kenton Elementary School students have been selected for the monthly character award. May’s virtue is Citizenship.

Summer is approaching in the SPARK Lab, and the Hardin County OSU Extension Office is inviting people to its summer workshops. At these workshops 4-H members will get to practice skills shown in their 4-H books and work with friends and professionals to enhance the 4-H knowledge and improve 4-H projects.

The Kenton Lions Club met Wednesday, May 4 at Henry’s Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. There were 18 members and five guests in attendance.

Hardin County Family YMCA held an Earth Day Celebration for the children of Silly and Super Saturday on April 23. A total of 18 children took part in a variety of Earth Day activities.

The Marseilles United Methodist Church held its yearly Mother and Daughter Banquet on Sunday evening, May 1 with 58 in attendance. The men arranged the potluck dishes while the group assembled in the church sanctuary at 6 p.m.

Kenton-Hardin County Soroptimist Intl. congratulates Club 250 winner Erica Kier for week 23. She will receive $100. The profits of this fundraiser will be used for scholarships for local women and girls.
