Lady Polar Bears slow down Perry DOLA — Hardin Northern’s 2-3 zone kept Perry from finding any consistent offense during Thursday night’s girls basketball game, allowing the Lady Polar Bear offense to get some separation and take the 56-35 win. County library leaders thankful for book donations Each year, Diane Brownstone of the Brownstone Book Fund in New York City chooses a state and works with the state librarian to give 100 children’s books from Brodart Books to 100 libraries in that state. For 2019, Brownstone selected Ohio for her book donations, and among the 100 libraries chosen out of 251 in the state were Hardin County’s six libraries. Read More
Polar Bears pull away for victory over MTC DOLA — Maddie Grappy had 21 points and Quinn Stewart Evans added 12 as Hardin Northern pulled away in the second half for a 48-35 victory over Mansfield Temple Christian in non-league girls basketball action on Tuesday night. The Polar Bears trailed 13-12 after eight minutes and the score was tied 17-17 with a minute left in the first half before Grappy had a pair of baskets off steals to give Hardin Northern a 21-17 lead at halftime.
