BOWLING GREEN — Sometimes a seemingly small thing can change the entirety of a tennis match. Kenton junior Claire Oates lost four of the first five games and was facing break point Saturday during her Division II district semifinal against Alyssa Krupp of Port Clinton.

ADA — Ohio Northern University’s James F. Dicke College of Business Administration honored alumnus Larry Boord with an Outstanding Service Award on Saturday, Oct. 4.

Kenton’s defense started the game with a big play and ended the game with a play that was just as big on Friday night as the Wildcats held on for a 21-14 victory over Elida on homecoming at Robinson Field.

Caroline Lombardo (right) was named the Kenton High School 2014 homecoming queen on Friday night before the Wildcats 21-14 win over Elida. She was crowned by 2013 queen Emily Baird. The KHS homecoming dance is 8-11 p.m. today in the high school gym.

Shelby Christian and Justice McGue of Ridgemont were named the 2014 Homecoming Queen and King prior to Friday night’s football game against Waynesfield-Goshen. The homecoming dance will be from 7:30-10:30 p.m. today at the elementary school, with the crowning ceremony to begin at 7 p.m.
