Kenton beauty salon owner retiring after 45 years

New beginning

When Debbie Breidenbach decided to put her Royal Duchess Beauty Salon on the market two years ago, she sought help from a higher source. After all, the salon on North Detroit Street in Kenton had been a huge part of her life for 45 years. She was close to her neighbors at the location and wanted the building to be used to better the community.

Halloween fun in Forest

Some of the top prizes in Wednesday’s Halloween parade in Forest went to (from left) Abram Loveridge as Edward Scissorshands, Marley Ledesma was named top witch, Cullen Hicherson as the Mad Hatter, Taryn Brown was the best ghost and Kyleigh Gregg was named the scariest.

Colorful scene

The autumn colors in the trees, like these maple trees on South Main Street in Kenton, are on display this week. The leaves may not last much longer as rain and wind are in the forecast for tonight and Thursday. Times photo/Dan Robinson
