St. Rita’s Professional Services broke ground Monday on a new $1 million facility in Ada. Located across from the Ada school on Ohio 81, the new offices are expected to open in April.

Christmas Around the Square celebration is Saturday in the Hardin County Courthouse. Sponsored by the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance, the craft fair features three floors filled with arts, crafts, and home party dealers. The Kenton Top Twenty will perform holiday music at 9:30 a.m. Homemade food is provided by the Hardin County Homemakers.

The first documented football game ever played in Dunkirk was an 8-0 loss to Arlington in October 1911. Records are sporadic, but they do reveal that Dunkirk played several games throughout the 1910s.

Ariana (Ward) Bailey prepares a holiday display at A Touch of Whimsy store, located at 110 W. Columbus Street in Kenton. Bailey is planning a Christmas open house this weekend in recognition of her first year in business on the courthouse square.
