Kenton man sentenced A Kenton man was sentenced to 139 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic violence in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. Arrest made in battery thefts After a two-week investigation into multiple thefts of commercial and industrial batteries from locations throughout Hardin County, an arrest has been made by the Investigations Division of the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office. Thomas Risner, 30, of 106 E. Columbus Street, Kenton, was arrested and booked into the Multi-County Correctional Center in Marion. Read More

Dunkirk man with nude photos of minor girls on phone sent to prison A Dunkirk man was sent to prison for 57 months and was named a sexual offender after he was found to have nude pictures of minor girls on his cell phone. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's office, Adam Wade Bowermaster, 360 W. Washington St., Dunkirk, was found guilty of illegal use of a minor in a nudity-oriented material or performance. Read More
Assistance to veterans The Hardin County Veterans Service Commission reported distributing 15 vouchers during September for a total cost of $3,251.30. Of that amount, $600 helped four veterans with food costs and 11 were assisted with utilities and other expenses at a cost of $2,651.30. Read More
