Kenton native to perform with Marilyn McCoo, Billy Davis Jr. Kenton native Cydney Davis will be performing with Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. at a concert Saturday night at Lakeside. Cydney grew up in Kenton and graduated from Kenton High School. She started singing at a young age and sang her first solo at Payne Chapel AME Church at age 12. Expanded ‘Go Fly a Kite’ event set Saturday in Kenton The spring rains forced the cancellation of the YMCA's "Go Fly A Kite” event in June, but the organization will be hoping for fair skies as it reschedules the event for Saturday afternoon.
