Meeting canceled

The Hardin County Board of Elections was unable to hold a meeting scheduled for Thursday due to illness resulting in the lack of a quorum. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 9 in the board office at the Hardin County Courthouse.

Man sent to prison

A Kenton man was sent to prison for a year after he was found guilty of escape charges. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's office, Jason Scott Hurley, last known address, 213 S. Market St., Kenton, was on post release control from an earlier case and failed to report on more than one occasion for meetings with his Adult Parole Authority officer.

Lima Area Youth Orchestra to present Season Finale

LIMA — The Lima Area Youth Orchestra will present its annual Season Finale concert on Sunday, April 14 in the Lima Senior High School Auditorium at 7 p.m. Under the direction of Dr. Travis Jürgens, the audience will enjoy a wide variety of classical works, including selections from The Planets, “Simple Gifts,” Haydn’s Surprise Symphony, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade.

UF Orchestra concert set

FINDLAY — Selections from some of the most popular plays and movies will be performed at the University of Findlay’s spring orchestra concert, titled “The Songs from Musicals.” The event will be held on Sunday, April 14 at 3 p.m. in the Winebrenner Building’s TLB Auditorium.
