The Hardin County Engineer’s Department has announced it will close McDonald Township Road 65 between Ohio 67 and County Road 160 starting Monday for culvert replacement.

Marion Palace Theatre Executive Director Bev Ford announces the theatre’s 91st season entertainment schedule, which runs July 2019 through June 2020. Included in the lineup are 8 national touring artists on the main stage, 5 local Palace Productions and Music in the May Series.

The facility at Graphic Packaging has expanded and so is its list of clients in recent months. The addition of products for Dunkin' Donuts has made it necessary to hire an additional 75 workers at the Kenton plant. With more than 700 employees, Graphic Packaging is the largest employer in Kenton and second only to Ohio Northern University in Hardin County.

BELLEFONTAINE — One hundred twenty-nine Benjamin Logan seniors will receive their diplomas at the 49th annual graduation ceremony on Friday, May 17 at 7 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. Addressing this year’s class will be valedictorians, Mei Carmer and Kathryn Meier.

Staci Ann Grogan, 142 Brumm St., was located and arrested on a probation order from her probation officer. The probation officer showed up and took control of the suspect. The department was called to 107 Clover Lane in reference to a menacing complaint.

A Fredericktown man was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon and faces federal charges in connection with Monday’s fire at the Kenton Walmart. According to Kenton Police Chief Dennis Musser, Caleb Poole, 26, was arrested in the Columbus area by a group of officers from the FBI and Hardin County Crime Task Force.

Working at Hardin Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Kenton often presents an opportunity for someone to get started in the nursing profession and, in many instances, stay at the nursing home throughout their career. But for others, starting out as a State Tested Nursing Aide (STNA) is a difficult job at the bottom of the pay scale. That has prompted Hardin Hills Director Sharon Huston to take a look at the position from a different angle.
