Senator takes oath

Senator Rob McColley, R-Napoleon, is joined by his wife Denise and daughter Anna as he takes the oath of office for Ohio’s 133rd General Assembly from Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judith L. French. He is serving his first full four-year term as senator for Ohio’s 1st Senate District, which includes Hardin County.

Ada woman to get FAME Award for food service efforts at Lima City Schools

LIMA — Carrie Woodruff, SNS, Food Service Director of Lima City Schools, is the 2019 recipient of the Foodservice Achievement Management Excellence (FAME) Silver Special Achievement Award. Woodruff, of Ada, will receive her award at the FAME award ceremony on Jan. 13 at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas during the School Nutrition Association’s 2019 School Nutrition Industry Conference.

Rodabaugh to lead HN board; plan eyed to ‘celebrate’ accomplishments

DOLA — The Hardin Northern Board of Education selected Chris Rodabaugh as its president for 2019. Kenny Hopson was elected vice president and Sara Stewart was named the board's treasure pro temp. Kathy Schroeder and Rodabaugh were appointed to the finance committee. Hopson and Rodabaugh were named to serve on the facilities committee.
