Road opens

The Hardin County Engineer’s Office announced it has reopened County Road 60 in Liberty Township between Ohio 235 and County Road 55. The road had been closed for replacement of a bridge.

Harvest begins

The dry weather in recent weeks has given some farmers a chance to get into the fields and begin harvesting their soybean crop, like this farmer was doing Monday afternoon in a Pleasant Township field, north of Kenton. Early reports show the crop yielding between 57 and 65 bushels per acre, according to OSU Extension Educator Mark Badertscher.
