Friday An officer responded to the Hardin Memorial Hospital emergency room for a report of a patient in possession of Fentanyl. A report of elderly abuse was taken from the Kenton Nursing and Rehab Center.

Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle by a known suspect was reported from 1037 S. Main St. No. 27. Shortly after taking the report, the officer located the vehicle traveling on Walnut Street. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver, Brad Hipsher, 132350 CR 155, was placed under arrest for unauthorized use and operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

A resident in the 100 block of Mill Street called to report her dog was stolen from her yard. Officers responded to Kenton Middle School, 300 Oriental St., for a report of a break-in and the theft of 20 laptop computers.

Shantona Verity Ann Marie Armes, 13344 Ohio 67 Lot 52, was taken into custody on an active pick-up order through the Hardin County Municipal Court. An officer took an on-station theft and forgery report. Officers were dispatched to Village Pantry for a report of people consuming alcohol in a vehicle.

Friday Officers were dispatched to a reported verbal fight at 125 S. Wayne St. Upon arrival, officers spoke to those involved and got the parties separated. John Joseph Schiermeister, Hesston, Kan., was in an intoxicated state and became loud and disorderly.

An officer was dispatched to Quest Federal Credit Union, 101 Jacob Parrott Blvd., for a report of a woman having a seizure. Upon the officer’s arrival, they were advised that the woman was uncooperative and there was drug paraphernalia in her purse.

Officers responded on station to a female with a warrant. Summer Nicole Castle, 5 Resch St., was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear. An officer was dispatched to a report of a dog bite at 121 Broadway St.

Monday The department responded to the 400 block of Scott Avenue for a report of menacing.

An officer observed two female juveniles walking in the 300 block of W. Columbus Street. The juveniles were out past the 10 p.m. curfew for a weeknight. The juveniles were brought the the KPD and parents were contacted. They were then released to a parent when they arrived.

An individual reported finding damage to the rear door of his residence. According to the report, it appeared as though someone had kicked the door, damaging it and breaking one of the small windows in the door.
