To the editor: By the time Jan. 22 rolls around, to many, it’s just another cold winter day. However, on January 22 in 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion in all 50 states with their landmark Roe v. Wade decision, creating a direct and immediate threat to the lives of unborn children across our country.

To the editor: Last year Lifeline of Ohio experienced an increase in individuals who passed from a drug overdose and went on to give the gift of life. I’d like to take the opportunity and address the nuances of donation when it coincides with someone passing from a drug/opioid overdose.

To the editor: I am writing to thank Hardin County residents for spreading joy to children around the world this Christmas. Through the generosity of the Hardin County community, the Lima Area Team collected 20,810 shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind.

In an age where kindness and compassion are in short supply, sometimes our lives intersect with people who restore our faith in mankind. Are they angels in disguise or simply good samaritans sent our way to remind us there is still good in the world?

My husband and I enjoy the music programs at the Kenton High School , the students always display their talents with great effort.

I pay a membership fee to the YMCA. Why should I donate to the annual campaign? I am not a member of the YMCA.

To the editor: To the community: I am sending you this message because our community typically looks out for our own. In our community is a little boy named Blaze Keim, who has been battling leukemia since he was three years old.

I am writing in regards to the upcoming renewal levy for Ada Schools. It is a renewal, not a new tax and it only pertains to your income, not your property tax.

I would like to invite all the senior citizens out to the Hardin County Council on Aging. They have different things they do during the five days each week. Each day is filled with fun and things to do.
