Wilcox relies on own experience, values donors to Ohio Northern

ADA — From applying for scholarships for Ohio State as a Ridgemont student, to becoming Ohio Northern University’s Director of Development for the Colleges of Business and Law, Dacy Wilcox has come full circle. Wilcox is in her eighth year at the position (13th overall at ONU), one she equates to what may be known as a major gift officer at other institutions.

Not by Choice expanding services to Ada and Bellefontaine locations

New location

After 10 years of providing services and support to cancer victims in Kenton, Not By Choice (NBC) is reaching out to surrounding communities. On Monday, NBC will open a satellite location in Ada’s Restore. On April 22, the new NBC Bellefontaine location will be assisting victims in the Logan County area at Union Station.

Safety recognition

ADA — The National Council for Home Safety and Security has recognized Ada as the 16th safest city in Ohio this week. The list of Ohio’s 50 Safest Cities refers to populations of 5,000 or more. The council reviews the most recent FBI Uniform Crime Report statistics along with their own population data and internal research to formulate and rank each city.

Former R’dale teacher under investigation

MOUNT BLANCHARD — An investigation of alleged misconduct involving a former Riverdale teacher is ongoing. Fifth grade intervention specialist and junior high girls volleyball and basketball coach Brooke Rosendale, whose resignation was approved by the school board at its regular meeting on March 27, is being investigated by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office for a report of alleged misconduct, according to Superintendent Eric Hoffman.
