Funding in place for Kenton parks director, pool manager Kenton City Council approved legislation on Monday night to enable the city to fund the parks and recreation director and assistant pool manager positions for 2017. Council, following suspension of the three-reading rule, adopted the ordinance providing for the transfer of $12,705 from the council receptionist line item in the general fund to the recreation and swimming pool fund. Ada pool renovation bids under estimate ADA — Five bids were opened on Thursday for the Village of Ada’s swimming pool renovation project, all of them coming in well under the architect’s estimate. Ramsey enjoys moving up to director at Ridgemont Library MOUNT VICTORY — Beccy Ramsey will be starting her 28th year at the Ridgemont Public Library – her second as director – in May. Even with 27 years on the job, Ramsey said she is still learning, and with her, the library is adapting to technology. Much of her 27 years with the Ridgemont Public Library was spent as the children’s librarian, only taking over as director last May.
