No drugs found when HN school is searched DOLA — A Hardin Northern school-wide search for drugs was conducted Tuesday by K-9 units from three local departments. Health board officials report on probe into dead pigs Members of the Kenton-Hardin Health Department were called to a grizzly scene on Sunday. Ada High senior amazed at Honor Band’s sound during 129th Rose Parade ADA — Ada High School senior Libbie Milks participated in the 129th Rose Parade on Jan. 2 in Pasadena, Calif., as a flutist in the Bands of America Honor Band, and she could not believe how great the band sounded together. That sound did not come by accident, of course, with the group of students from all across the country holding rehearsals together prior to the performances. Kenton reverses course, won’t put up 4-way stop on North Detroit Street Kenton has put the brakes on plans for a four-way stop on a major city thoroughfare. City Council’s Safety Committee reported on Monday night that the city will not be creating a four-way stop at the intersection of North Detroit Street (U.S. 68) and North Street. Deputy shares local stories about sex crimes The people who came to the Jacob Parrott Safety Center in Kenton on Thursday night must have expected to be given statistics about sex trafficking and they weren’t disappointed. It is estimated 65 percent of men who participate in sex trafficking are in positions of authority or trust, said Deb Oestreich of the Crossroads Crisis Center, which sponsored the program along with the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.
