Mount Victory looks to extend land contract MOUNT VICTORY — A longer contract has been recommended for the farming of a section of Mount Victory farmland with above average yields. The village-owned land just north of Mount Victory, near the village’s lagoon, is currently contracted out on a two-year rotation, according to Mayor Mike Trout. USV on board with program to ready students for future jobs McGUFFEY — Area educators and business leaders met Tuesday morning at Upper Scioto Valley Schools to discuss how best to establish a program which will ready high school students to enter the manufacturing world. County’s jobless rate up Hardin County’s unemployment rate climbed to 5.2 percent in January, according to figures released Tuesday by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. In December, the county’s unemployment rate was 4.2 percent. Read More
