The Hardin County Council on Aging Senior Center had a dessert party.
ADA — Throughout this week, Sandy Neely and a host of volunteers are helping area youth learn swimming skills at the Ada Swimming Pool.
Neely started her 49th year of teaching Red Cross swim lessons on Monday, with 75 children enrolled in the program this year.
Beginning this season, the Kenton ragtag football program will have cheerleaders cheering them on.
The newly-formed Kenton kindergarten cheerleading program will cheer at its first game on Sunday, Aug. 20, and will continue throughout the ragtag football season.

In the information technology field, no two days are ever the same for Nathan Rodenberger. But that’s exactly what he enjoys most about it.

At its regular meeting Monday night, the Riverdale Board of Education approved the class of 2018 senior trip to Disney World in Orlando, Fla. from March 20-26, 2018.

On Saturday in Kenton a service honoring the memory of John H. Smick at Grove Cemetery was held.
Smick was the last Civil War Veteran from Hardin County and was a community leader after returning from the war.
The One Hit Wonders won the 2017 Kenton Adult Co-Ed Softball League championship by winning the league tournament recently at Home Run Memorial Park.
