Marsico points to positive experiences as child to promoting fitness at YMCA After 30 years in the accounting field, Frank Marsico spends his days being a part of the Hardin County YMCA family. After serving on the Y board during its building project in the mid-1990s, Marsico stepped away from behind a desk to become the agency's program director. While the position may be part time, for Marsico involvement in the Y organization has been a part of his life since he was a child. Read More

Knit Wits turn in charity knitting projects The Ohio Knit Wits, at their monthly meeting on June 11, turned in their final projects made from the yarn purchased with the money from the Thrivent Grant Funds. The lap blankets, shawls and dish cloths will be distributed later in the fall. There were over 125 dish/wash cloths, four scarves, two hats, ten shawls and seven lap blankets. Some items have yet to be turned in for the final count. Other area knitters from the Ada Library and the Ohio Northern University Chapel also contributed in making of these items. Read More

New McGuffey mayor youngest in the county McGUFFEY — During a council meeting on Monday, McGuffey Mayor Greg Howard announced he would be resigning effective Friday. He was moving out of the village. The decision put the reins of the village into the hands of council president Drake Krummrey. At 32, Krummrey is now the youngest mayor in the county. Read More
