Forest to be at epicenter of total solar eclipse in 2024 FOREST — When a total solar eclipse takes place on April 8, 2024, Forest is expected to be at the epicenter of the natural phenomenon. Councilman Denis Phillips reported to council Thursday the center is predicted to be in the center of the village and result in total darkness for four minutes. It will bring skygazers and science enthusiasts from throughout the nation and beyond, said Phillips, and it is time for Forest to begin planning for the crowds. Read More
