Carol McKinley prepares a display at the Beech Grove Schoolhouse near the Hardin County Fairgrounds in preparation for the arrival of area students. The one-room school house is owned by the Hardin County Historical Museums and is used by area teachers and students to get a feel for what it was like to attend classes at the school in 1893.

Ridgemont rallied from an early two-run deficit to defeat Kenton 6-2 in a non-league softball game on Thursday afternoon. After the Wildcats took a 2-0 lead in bottom of the first inning on a two-run double by Chloe Musser, Ridgemont tied the game with two runs in the top of the third before taking the lead with three runs in the fourth.

Kirby Rawlins (right), PT, DPT at OhioHealth Hardin Wellness Center, spoke to the Kenton Rotary members at a meeting on April 2 at the Kenton Elks Lodge 157. With him is David Faulkner, Rotary member. Rawlins shared how physical therapy can benefit the patient on the road to recovery.

Cory Johnson of Chris's Concrete lays a line of bricks at Kenton Dental Care along the alley beside the building on North Detroit Street. The concrete retaining wall at the building was crumbling and needed to be replaced, said a spokesperson at Kenton Dental Care.

Staff at Hardin County Job and Family Services wore blue Wednesday to commemorate National Child Abuse Prevention Day. There were 68 cases of child abuse reported in the county last year. The Hardin County Commissioners have proclaimed April to be Child Abuse Prevention Month.
