The Trophy Bassmasters held their 11th club tournament of the season this past weekend at Delaware Reservoir north of Columbus. The 11 anglers competed for nine hours and could only manage 26 keeper bass of at least 12 inches. The total weight was 32.35 pounds.

The Hardin County Council on Aging enjoyed a great trip to the Black Hills, touring Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse and many other interesting sites.

The Hardin County Council on Aging Senior Center took a trip to Der Dutchman in Plain City for lunch. The seniors enjoyed good weather, great food and shopping in the bakery and gift shop.

Hardin County Council on Aging had a hat contest. Sharon Lowery had the best hat.

Kenton-Hardin County Soroptimist International participated in the parade for the Ada Harvest and Herb Festival on Saturday. Not only did the club celebrate the festival, but also celebrated the Kenton-Hardin County Soroptimist International 50th year membership of Eve Johnson-Timmons.

Briar Davis (left) and Brilyn Conaway searched for a pumpkin blossom at the pumpkin patch at Althauser Honey Farms this morning and were successful in their goal. The girls are members of the Kenton first grade classes who toured the farm east of Kenton today to learn about pumpkin, cider and honey production prior to this weekend’s annual Sweet Harvest.

Kenton city workers began digging earth this morning to widen East Columbus Street and clear the way for a new left turn lane at the Hester Street intersection.

ADA — Chris Reyes had two goals to lead Ada to a 5-1 win over New Knoxville in a non-league boys soccer contest on Tuesday afternoon. Brendan Sheridan added a goal and three assists for the Bulldogs, who improve to 5-2 on the season.

VAN WERT — Hannah Holland, Sydney Plott netted two goals each and Addison Modd and Lexi Wetherill both had one tally as Kenton shut out Van Wert 6-0 in a Western Buckeye League girls soccer match on Tuesday night.
