Walk down midway With some county schools out of classes for the fair, the afternoons on the midway can bring many thrill-seekers. A short shower fell on the fairgrounds for a while late Wednesday afternoon and the threat of rain remains through tonight. Glass artist Jamie Adams of Mobile Glass Studios fires up a glass owl she created at the Hardin County Fair on Wednesday. The portable furnace reaches temperatures of 2,100 degrees Fahrenheit. The studio staff is putting on displays throughout the fair. Read More
Dish kabobs The pork portion of the Dish Day competition featured kabobs this year. Taking first place was Elaine Hoover (let), who won with an Hawaiian Grilled Pork entry.
