HN board OKs unique plan to develop students DOLA — To address student apathy and instill a stronger work ethic, Hardin Northern is taking steps “outside the box.” The District leadership Team (DLT), consisting of school staff and community members, has developed a character education program for the district called the Bear GRIT Initiative, which stands for Guts, Resilience, Integrity and Tenacity.

ONU lifts up memory of Dr. King with unveiling of statue on campus ADA — For decades, Ohio Northern University had acknowledged Dr. Martin Luther King’s 1968 visit to the campus with a plaque on a rock. “You had to go a little bit out of your way if you wanted to know the story of Dr. King’s visit. All of that is about to change today,” said ONU President Daniel DiBiasio on Tuesday morning at the dedication service of the new bronze statue which commemorates the event.
