COLUMBUS — Since its inception, more than 450 older Ohioans have been inducted into the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame. If you know someone who belongs among those ranks, the Ohio Department of Aging wants to hear from you.

A meal is served at 11:15 a.m. weekdays for people ages 60 and older at the Hardin County Council on Aging in Kenton. Meals are for donation only. Meal reservations are required 24 hours in advance by calling the Council on Aging, 419-673-1102.

The seniors at the Hardin County Council on Aging Senior Center in Kenton had a New Year’s Eve party. The seniors enjoyed sharing their favorite moments from 2018 and what they are looking forward to in 2019.

Joe Dulin, a veteran and resident of Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center, sits between Harold and Kim Sexton from the Amvets Riders. They brought gifts to all veterans and Blue Star mothers.

Betty Sprang and Keith Philips, residents of Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center, enjoy the Christmas light tour in Upper Sandusky when the snowman and the reindeer entered the bus that evening.

Monday – tomato soup, cheese crackers, mixed vegetables, drink. Tuesday – cottage cheese, crackers, peaches, drink. Wednesday – chili, peanut butter, crackers, pineapple, drink.

Next week’s menu includes the following: Monday – sausage and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, drink. Tuesday – closed.
