Starting out National Nursing Home week was Western Day. Residents at Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center enjoyed the theme, Residents and staff had ice cream sundaes, wore cowboy hats and listened to the singing duet Loco Cowboy.

Hardin Hills residents and activity department staff attended the Mardi Gras-themed Senior Citizens Day at the Hardin County Fairgrounds. All had a great time with great food and entertainment and friends.

The Hardin County Council on Aging Senior Center had a housewarming party for Charlene Borski. Many people came to celebrate Charlene’s new home.

The Ada Senior Citizens will travel to the Plaza Inn Restaurant in Mount Victory for lunch on Wednesday, May 9. Those who would like to be a part of the car pool should meet at the Ada Community Health Professionals parking lot. They will be leaving at 11:15 a.m.

The Hardin County Council on Aging is taking over operation of the daily meal program at the Kenton facility. Executive Director Betty Bibler said the agency will be utilizing various food places in Kenton for the main entrée.

The Hardin County Council on Aging Senior Center had a “Be Happy Day.” The seniors discussed what makes them happy and they ate rainbow sherbert.

Hardin Hills Health Center Administrator Mark Rogers was surprised by his retirement party that was thrown by staff and residents. Commissioners Roger Crowe made it out for the party as well.
