Ada Senior Citizens will be having its Thanksgiving Dinner on Nov. 11 at Old Barn Out Back. Members are to RSVP to Chloe at 419-634-9030 or Diane at 419-649-4006 before Nov. 9.

Guests at the Hardin County Council On Aging honored the memory of their friends and family members who are deceased in a special service on Friday.

Residents at Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center enjoyed a day out on a lunch outing in Findlay at Tony’s. They took the scenic ride home to enjoy the fall changes.

Staff of Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center are helping raise awareness for Breast Cancer Month, they put together a basket to auction off. The staff gives all proceeds to the Not by Choice foundation.

Hazel Umphress will celebrate her 90th birthday on Monday, Oct. 19. A lifelong resident of Ada, Hazel was married to Charles Umphress (deceased) and has two daughters, Viki Midlam and Cheryl Ward.

A noon meal is served for people ages 60 and older at the Hardin County Council on Aging in Kenton, 419-673-1102, at 11:30 a.m. weekdays. Transportation and meal reservations are required 24 hours in advance.

In the past four years, Angels for the Elderly has provided food to senior citizens who might otherwise go without meals, said Director Mary Roby. On Saturday, the organization is sponsoring its second annual fundraiser. The quarter auction and food drive is slated at the Eagles Lodge back room in Kenton starting at 1 p.m.
