Ada takes tough loss

ADA — Ada’s defense held Spencerville in check for most of the night Friday in a Northwest Conference football game. But the Bulldogs couldn’t get the one last stop it needed as Spencerville scored with a minute left to grab a 22-19 victory.

LIMA — Despite getting a big game from senior running back Cameron Smith, Ridgemont fell 37-13 to Northwest Central Conference football opponent Perry on Friday.

Kenton scores 13 goals in easy victory

The Kenton boys soccer team physically out-matched its opponent Thursday night, overwhelming Marion Harding in a 13-0 non-conference win. The Wildcats’ 13 goals came from eight different scorers, including hat tricks from Landon Bartlett and Hayden Hicks, and a brace from Drew Hoppe. The team tallied 37 shots, 25 on goal.

DOLA — Hardin Northern didn’t quite play with the consistency Polar Bear volleyball coach Erika Uitto was looking for against Ridgemont on Thursday night. But the Polar Bears got the job done when it mattered on the way to a 25-21, 25-17, 25-11 Northwest Central Conference win over their Hardin County foe.

Kenton placed its top five runners in the top 30 as the Lady Wildcats finished third of 12 teams with 73 points at the Riverdale Invitational cross country meet on Thursday.
