Prior to the season, Kenton High School track coach Chuck Downing told junior hurdler Austin Buroker he expected him to qualify for the state meet this spring.

McGUFFEY — Before last week’s district track meet in Findlay, Upper Scioto Valley senior Aric Jordan-LaRue joked with his coach Charles Renner that he may end up as the highest-scoring Ram to never compete in the regional track meet.

BELLEFONTAINE — For the five members of the Ben Logan boys track and field team getting ready to head to the Division II Region 6 meet at Lexington High School, the focus is on setting new personal records.

RIDGEWAY — Ridgemont senior Daniel Johnson did not put on the performance he wanted to last week at the district meet. He cleared 12 feet, 8 inches to place fourth in the pole vault, but the most important part was he qualified for the Division III Region 10 track and field meet at Tiffin Columbian High School.

BELLEFONTAINE — In some ways Ben Logan junior Aly Brose is just happy to be getting ready for the Division II Region 8 track and field meet.

PERRYSBURG — When Lexington’s Christian Zupan hit a shot long on match point, Ada sophomore Zach Beaschler knew he was going to state.

FINDLAY — Hardin Northern’s Nicholas Bame and Ridgemont’s Sidney Richardson each won a pair of district titles Saturday at the Division III Northwest District track and field meet held at Findlay High School.

ST. PARIS — The Ben Logan boys track team had a good second day of the Division II district track meet at Graham on Saturday, qualifying athletes for the regional meet in four events.
