ST. MARYS — Kenton outscored St. Marys by seven points in the fourth quarter to rally for a 56-51 Western Buckeye League girls basketball victory on Thursday night. The Lady Wildcats led 15-10 after eight minutes before the host Riders outscored them 17-10 in the second quarter to take a 27-25 lead at halftime.
MOUNT VICTORY — The Ridgemont girls basketball team defeated Lima Temple Christian 73-18 on Thursday night to improve to 10-5 on the season and 3-1 in the League. Priscilla Howland and McKee tallied 15 points each to lead the Gophers. Jen Jordan added 13 and Meadow Cromer had 9. Shaylee McGrath had 8 points.
BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan used its defensive pressure to get off to a fast start against Ridgemont on Wednesday night and the Gophers were never able to recover as the Raiders cruised to a 70-48 win in a non-league girls game.

BEREA — Senior Britt Lauck scored 22 points and junior Amy Bullimore added 14 points to lead the No. 10 ranked Ohio Northern women's basketball team to a 60-55 road victory at Baldwin Wallace on Wednesday night.
ADA — Senior Joey Hurless became Ohio Northern's all-time career assist leader on Wednesday night, leading the ONU men's basketball team to an 86-77 victory over visiting Baldwin Wallace at the ONU Sports Center.

The streets of southern Kenton were a beehive of activity early Saturday morning as firefighters from 10 departments battled four separate arson fires in the area.
Two of the homes were occupied, one was vacant and the fourth home was empty as the renters were in the process of moving.
